The Chair of Derivatives and Financial Engineering, Faculty of Economics and Business at Goethe University Frankfurt (Germany), is seeking to fill the position of a
Postdoctoral Researcher in Finance (m/f/d)
from Jan 1, 2025 on. The position is initially limited to three years. The salary grade is based on the job characteristics of the collective agreement applicable to Goethe University (TV-G-U).
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in finance or economics and strong expertise in theoretical and/or empirical asset pricing (evidenced by publications or presentations at workshops and conferences). The requirement is a completed academic university degree (equiv. diploma/master’s degree). The position is highly suitable for candidates who already have a certain number of working papers that they wish to develop further in preparation for the academic job market, while also engaging in new research activities with members of the professorship and members of the Department of Finance at Goethe University. Solid basic knowledge of German is an advantage.
Tasks are teaching and research in finance with an emphasis on asset pricing as well as administrative duties.
