TUM School of Management: Doctoral Candidates in Finance

Being one of the best faculties in Economics in Germany, the TUM School of Management is building a unique
bridge between Management and Technology within an international teaching and learning environment. The
newly established Chair of Digital Finance is looking for:

Doctoral Candidates in Finance (f/m/d)

Your Requirements:

• Candidates should have completed (or are completing) a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Management/
Business, Economics, Mathematics, or Information Systems
• Superior academic track record
• Enthusiasm for conducting high-quality and innovative empirical research in Asset Pricing, Investments,
Behavioral Finance, Financial Risk Management, or Financial Technology
• Strong statistical training and quantitative research methods; profound knowledge in machine learning
techniques is an advantage
• Experience with programming languages, such as R, Python, or Stata
• Excellent English language skills; German language skills are an advantage

Your Responsibilities:

• Successful candidates will work under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Florian Weigert on research projects in
Asset Pricing, Investments, Behavioral Finance, Financial Risk Management, or Financial Technology
• Participation in the Ph.D. program of the TUM School of Management
• Support the teaching activities of the Chair of Digital Finance
• Work on third-party funded projects
