Research and Teaching Assistant in Finance
Applicants should hold a university master's degree in finance, economics, econometrics or related fields, not older than three years, with excellent grades. Successful candidates are expected to enroll in the Ph.D. program in finance at the University of St.Gallen. Advanced German and English language skills are required. Successful candidates should be committed to top-quality research and have the desire to pursue an academic career. They should have potential for scholarly research, publications in leading academic journals and teaching excellence.
The candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in one of the core areas of the chair: empirical corporate finance, household finance, and asset pricing. Applicants should submit (1) a motivation letter including an outline of research interests, (2) a detailed curriculum vitae that includes information on education, qualifications and teaching as well as research experience (if any), (3) copies of university certificates and transcripts of grades, (4) test results from a study qualification test (GRE or GMAT), and (5) two letters of reference from academic referees who are able to assess the applicants ability and potential for research and teaching (sent directly to the address below).
The appointment is expected to start in winter 2019 / spring 2020 or upon mutual agreement.
