ENABLE ist ein interdisziplinäres Forschungsnetzwerk an der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt. Das integrierte translationale Forschungsnetzwerk basiert auf der Beteiligung von Wissenschaftlern aus fünf Fakultäten der Goethe-Universität und Partnern wie dem Max-Planck-Institut für Biophysik, dem Fraunhofer-Institut für Translationale Medizin und Pharmakologie, dem Frankfurter Institut für Höhere Studien (FIAS) und dem Georg Speyer Haus (GSH). Ihr Aufgabengebiet

  • Interdisziplinäre Forschung in der Gesundheitsökonomie gemeinsam mit Forschern aus verschiedenen Disziplinen.
  • Entwicklung statistischer Tests in enger Zusammenarbeit mit medizinischen Wissenschaftlern.
  • Anwendung von Methoden und Erkenntnissen aus der Wirtschaftsforschung, um die Gestaltung klinischer Studien sowie Behandlungsentscheidungen zu verbessern.

at the Chair “Finance, Accounting and Taxation” of Prof. Rainer Haselmann at the next possible date. The employment contract ends 31 March 2025. The salary grade is based on the job characteristics of the collective agreement (TV-G-U) applicable to Goethe University.

ENABLE is an interdisciplinary research network at Goethe University Frankfurt. The integrated translational research network is based on the participation of scientists from five faculties at Goethe University and partners such as the Max Planck Institute of Biophysics, the Fraunhofer Institute for Translational Medicine and Pharmacology, the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies (FIAS) and the Georg Speyer Haus (GSH). The future plan for ENABLE is to compete for a Cluster of Excellence within the next round of the federal Excellence Strategy.

The job duties and responsibilities include

  • Conduct interdisciplinary research in health economics jointly with researchers from different disciplines.
  • Design statistical tests in close cooperation with medical scientists.
  • Apply methodologies and insights from economic research to improve on the design of clinical trials as well as treatment choices.
  • Study and evaluate incentives and/or information sharing across various actors in the supply chain of patient care.

Your profile

  • interest in pursuing a doctoral degree in Economics (including courses of the doctoral program)
  • excellent university degree in economics; business administration; or mathematics (diplom or masters)
