The Institute for Finance & Banking (IFB) at LMU Munich School of Management is inviting applications for a

Research and Teaching Assistant (m/f/x)

for a position starting April 1st 2024. The position is initially limited to a period of 3 years. The remuneration is in accordance with TV-L 13. You will have the opportunity to study towards a PhD at IFB as part of the position. Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) is one of the most renowned and largest universities in Germany. Perfectly connected with the university network and the important business and research location of Munich, our Faculty offers students a modern, practice-oriented and at the same time theoretically profound education.

Research and teaching activities of the Institute cover the fields of banking and corporate finance. The research profile is international and predominantly empirically oriented. Tasks and responsibilities include the participation in teaching and research activities in close cooperation with Professor Elsas and the team members.

Your qualifications:

  • Excellent academic record and university degree in Business Administration/Economics or a related field with quantitative orientation at Master’s level.
  • Outstanding knowledge in Financial Economics and Mathematics and/or Data Science.
  • Strong interest in scientific research.
  • Passion for teaching and lecturing.
  • High motivation and enthusiasm for efficient team work.
