Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in Finance (W1)

at the Institute for Finance (FBV).

We are looking for distinguished candidates with the potential to publish in top finance journals. With your contribution to the lectures offered by the Institute for Finance you will strengthen the teaching portfolio of the Department of Economics and Management. We expect your willingness for research collaboration with other researchers of the FBV and the KIT.

Conditions for employment are, in addition to general administrative conditions in accordance with § 51 of the Baden-Wuerttemberg University Act (Landeshochschulgesetz des Landes Baden-Württemberg), a graduate degree, an aptitude for teaching and proven competence in conducting independent and high quality research in the field of finance. The evaluation process and the evaluation criteria are according to the principles outlined in the KIT document „Qualitätssicherungskonzept für Juniorprofessuren mit Tenure-Track am Karlsruher Institut für Technologie“. Of particular importance are publications that rank among the best in an international comparison, outstanding teaching performance, academic commitment, as well as cooperation within and outside of the Institute. We offer an on-going mentoring to promote career development.

The offered tenure is for four years in a temporary civil service position (Beamtenverhältnis auf Zeit) or employment relationship. Given a positive interim evaluation, it will be extended to six years. If the final evaluation is positive, an appointment is made for a tenured full professorship (W3).
